KOMPAS.com – Mayapada Eye Centre (MEC) has officially opened its second branch at Mayapada Tower 2, Sudirman, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (January 28, 2026). MEC Sudirman is designed as an eye care center tailored to meet the needs of urban communities, particularly office professionals with high exposure to digital screens. According to Navin, the high usage of digital devices, exposure to pollution, and demanding work routines have led to an increase in eye-related complaints, particularly among office professionals.
To address this, MEC Sudirman offers modern, precise, and integrated eye care services to help maintain optimal vision quality without disrupting patients’ daily routines. A similar view was expressed by dr. Ucok P. Pasaribu, Sp.M(K), Consultant Ophthalmologist at Mayapada Eye Centre. He emphasized that with modern diagnostic technology and subspecialist expertise, early detection and precise diagnosis can be achieved, allowing treatment strategies to be tailored to each patient.
“This approach enables more targeted and sustainable care while minimizing the risk of permanent vision impairment and long-term complications, particularly among the productive-age population, ensuring that both vision quality and overall quality of life are maintained,” he explained.
