HerStory, Jakarta — Mayapada Eye Centre (MEC) has officially opened its newest clinic at Mayapada Tower 2, Sudirman, South Jakarta, as part of its effort to expand access to premium eye care services for office professionals and urban communities. The presence of MEC Sudirman aims to address the growing risk of vision problems caused by high digital screen exposure, while strengthening early detection and eye care services supported by advanced diagnostic technology.
The clinic offers a range of eye subspecialty services, including cornea, glaucoma, retina, and pediatric ophthalmology, under a Premium Boutique Eye Care concept. The facility is designed to support integrated care pathways, a personalized patient experience, and service efficiency—aligned with the needs of the productive-age population in business districts.
President Director & CEO of Mayapada Healthcare, Navin Sonthalia, stated that MEC is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its centers of excellence within the Mayapada Hospital network.

Chief Operating Officer of Mayapada Eye Centre, Navin Nathani, added that the expansion into Sudirman is designed based on the working patterns of urban professionals.
“In the daily lives of urban professionals, prolonged exposure to digital screens—from computers, laptops, and smartphones—often leads to issues such as dry eyes, digital eye strain, and difficulty focusing, which directly impact productivity,” he explained.
