Mayapada (SRAJ) Boosts Performance Through Expansion of Eye Care Services

KONTAN.CO.ID, Jakarta – PT Sejahtera Anugrahjaya Tbk (SRAJ), the operator of Mayapada Healthcare, continues to strengthen its performance through business expansion, particularly in its new eye care vertical, Mayapada Eye Centre (MEC).

Previously, Mayapada Healthcare launched MEC in 2024 in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta. The company has now expanded its reach by opening a new MEC facility in the Sudirman area.

Chief Operating Officer of Mayapada Healthcare, Navin Nathani, stated that with its premium boutique concept, MEC offers comprehensive eye care services through a one-stop solution approach. One of its flagship services is Laser Vision Correction (LVC). MEC primarily targets middle-class communities in the Greater Jakarta area who work and carry out activities in the city center.

According to Nathani, the company plans to continue expanding its eye care services throughout the year, particularly in major cities—both in new locations and in areas where Mayapada Hospitals are already established.

Meanwhile, President Director of Mayapada Healthcare, Navin Sonthalia, acknowledged that MEC’s contribution to the company’s overall performance is currently still limited. However, he remains optimistic that this business line will deliver increasing contributions over time.

“MEC is still a relatively new vertical for Mayapada Healthcare. However, its contribution to the company’s overall performance will continue to grow, both quarterly and annually,” he said during a press conference at the inauguration of MEC Sudirman in Jakarta on Wednesday (January 28, 2026).

Sonthalia added that this contribution is expected to increase further with the planned opening of MEC facilities at Mayapada Hospitals in Tangerang and Surabaya early next year. In addition to MEC expansion, Mayapada Healthcare also plans to open a new hospital in Cakung, East Jakarta, in April 2026.

He noted that the investment required to build a Mayapada hospital ranges from IDR 500 billion to IDR 1 trillion, depending on the size and complexity of the facility.

On another front, the company is currently developing the Mayapada Apollo Batam International Hospital (MABIH) in Batam, which is targeted for completion by the end of 2027. According to Sonthalia, this collaboration with an international hospital is part of the company’s strategy to enhance the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia.

“Although it will take time, in the medium term we are confident that Indonesians will increasingly trust domestic healthcare services without needing to seek treatment abroad,” he concluded.
