dr. Putri Hartini, Sp.M, is an ophthalmologist with expertise in cataracts, refraction, and anterior segment diseases.
She completed her ophthalmology specialist training at the National Eye Center – Cicendo Eye Hospital / Universitas Padjadjaran, one of the leading eye institutions in Indonesia. Prior to that, she obtained her medical degree at Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital, Bandung.
In her career development, Dr. Putri actively participates in various training programs. These programs focus on cataract and anterior segment surgery at both national and international levels.
She completed the INASCRS Phacoemulsification Cataract Fellowship. In addition, she joined intensive phacoemulsification training and multiple wetlab sessions. These programs helped refine her skills in techniques such as Iris Claw, the Yamane Technique, and anterior vitrectomy.
In the field of refraction, she continues to expand her expertise. She has attended courses on Phakic IOL and Toric Phakic IOL. She has also trained in Secondary IOL Implantation.
Her commitment to continuous learning is reflected in her participation in international programs. These include the ESASO Retina Course in Singapore and the Advanced Corneal Surgery Course at SNEC. She also joined an Advanced Cataract Course with Dr. Sergio Canabrava.
Currently, she is undertaking a Fellowship in External Eye Diseases. This program aims to strengthen her expertise in managing complex anterior segment conditions.
In the scientific field, Dr. Putri is active in research. Her work includes studies on ocular malignant melanoma and the biocompatibility of implants in animal models.
She is an active member of the Indonesian Ophthalmologists Association (PERDAMI). She is also part of the Indonesian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (INASCRS) and the Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (APACRS).
