Dr. Made Indra Widyanatha is an Indonesian ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal diseases. He completed the IOFF Vitreo Retina Fellowship at Ludwig-Maximillian University, Munich for the 2024–2025 period. Before that, he finished the Medical and Surgical Vitreoretina Fellowship and phacoemulsification training as part of his advanced clinical development. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Universitas Padjadjaran in 2018 after earning his medical degree from Trisakti University in 2011.
He provides patient care at Mayapada Eye Centre with a focus on vitreoretinal disorders and ocular trauma. His early medical career included roles in emergency and general medical services, which strengthened his clinical foundation.
He contributed to ophthalmology reference books published in 2020. His scientific work has been presented at international forums, including the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology in Hong Kong and various international ophthalmology meetings.
Nationally, he is an active speaker in medical seminars on refractive disorders, diabetic retinopathy, vitreoretinal surgery, ocular trauma, and postoperative complications. He has completed several international trainings, including the APAO Leadership Development Project and advanced retina modules from the European School for Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology in Singapore and Bangkok.
He holds the International Council of Ophthalmology certification in Optics, Refraction and Instruments. His clinical training and research background support his expertise in managing vitreoretinal diseases and complex retinal cases.
