Jakarta – Mayapada Healthcare (PT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk) has officially inaugurated Mayapada Eye Centre (MEC) Sudirman. Located in the heart of Jakarta’s metropolitan hub, MEC Sudirman aims to target the middle-class segment.
President Commissioner of Mayapada Healthcare, Jonathan Tahir, stated that the establishment of MEC Sudirman was driven by his observation of the growing demand for eye health services in the future.
“We aim to provide even better services to patients and the community,” said Jonathan during the Grand Opening of MEC Sudirman in South Jakarta on Wednesday (January 28, 2026).
On the same occasion, President Director & CEO of Mayapada Healthcare, Navin Sonthalia, explained that MEC Sudirman adopts a premium boutique concept, making it well-suited to the prestige of the city center.
“This is a strategic location where people can visit amid their busy daily routines. However, we ensure that our services remain accessible to all patients while maintaining a premium boutique concept,” Navin elaborated.
“MEC is part of the Mayapada Hospital ecosystem, delivering high-standard eye care that is clinically and integrated with various Centers of Excellence across the Mayapada Hospital network,” he added.
Meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer of Mayapada Eye Centre, Navin Nathani, noted that Sudirman was chosen as MEC aims to serve middle-class professionals in the Greater Jakarta area.
“The city center is where they carry out most of their activities, both work and social. Therefore, this is a strategic location where they can visit in between their daily routines,” he said.
Navin Nathani emphasized that MEC Sudirman offers top-tier doctors, nurses, and the latest technology to ensure high-quality patient care.
